Jolly 2022 Hopes n Wishes

I have some wonderful wood ready for woodcut experiments…

Dear followers,

I hope your beginning of the new year has been a positive one and like me you are looking forward to the potential of what a new start can uncover. I must admit that I am not generally one for those resolutions lists, though I do dust off the thoughts and plans that may have taken a back seat as so many things have these last 2 or so years……..as January enters its last few days and the light trickles a bit longer each day, I feel a shift to get cracking with things……

At this point I thank all visitors and buyers who visited the markets I traded at in November and December. The Brockley Open Studio team did a sterling job with hosting the market at St Peter’s Church in Brockley and I enjoyed many a conversation and such a beautiful venue……I certainly wasn’t expecting underfloor heating either!

Such a wonderful space for my work…..

Pexmas was hosted in Copeland Gallery in Peckham on Sunday 12th December and this was quite a buzzy busy day, with a large print wrapped and ready to fly to the US from a lovely customer within the last 30 minutes of trading!

All set for action…

After such a strange 2 years as a maker, it was sooooo good to be running a market and that much needed kick so many of us need to be as fully ready as we can possibly be. On a market research level too, it was an insight into buyers thoughts, likes and curiosities.

Studio news…

I have just decided to take part in the annual Dulwich Festival Artists’ Open Studio event in May. The first and last time was back on 2019 along with fellow creative ‘Tomoko Hori’ and we used my home to host us both together. You can check back through my blog posts to read all about the virtual event last year. This year I will be hosted instead which will be a very different experience, along with 5 other artists & makers. We are currently registering with the festival so more about this exciting event later…..

A unique way to gift a friend or a family member. I can create bespoke works using particular colour palettes, or even direct handmade prints using elements from their own garden spaces, this adds a very personal layer too. You can get in touch to discuss via the contact below, or via email and we can take it from there.
